You can't do this!

Turns out everyone I know is a doctor or a dietitian.

Like seriously. You weigh 250 lbs, nobody except your doctor is concerned. You lose 50 lbs doing something not considered "normal" and all of a sudden, everyone is an MD, RD or knows your body better than you do!

You are going to die!

Well, yes, I am, but not today, and not from this! Owsley "the bear" Stanley (more on him in resources), ate this way for FIFTY years. 50. Did he die? Yes, sadly he did. However, the driver of the car that hit him was not due to Owsley's diet.

You have to eat vegetables!

No, no I don't. Most plants have developed methods to avoid being eaten, because you know, getting eaten is kind of a bummer for the plant. The other plants we eat (I'm looking at your broccoli) are actually man made and are here due to decades of selection and cultivation!

But you'll get scurvy!

No, no I won't. Red meat actually has vitamin c! Polar explorers used to drop off goats on islands before heading to the ice so they would have some red meat to eat during their trip to prevent getting sick.

Well ok, but you are totally going to get gout then!

Highly doubtful. In a lot of cases, gout is caused by mixing too much fat with sugar. Since we don't eat sugar, it's a non issue!

But, but, your cholesterol!

So, pre carnivore / zero carb / nagev days, I would sit down, eat a steak, a baked potato with butter and sour cream, a salad with bacon and some bread and butter. Now I just have the steak. It seems to me, I'm eating less things to cause high bad cholesterol. (Blood test results coming)

One note: When you drop a lot of weight in a short amount of time, regardless of HOW you do it, your cholesterol will go up. (Makes sense, there's more fat in your blood). It can take 6-12 months to stabilize.
